He liberates the characters and himself. His philosophy of calligraphy is to express the vitality of calligraphic writing freely and boldly by detaching it from the usual norms and rules.
The owner of Galerie Lee in Paris describes his calligraphic style by saying, “His work is a science as well as an art. The fude he uses and his strokes are the clear reflection of his thoughts and philosophy.”
He creates his original black ink for himself. As soon as his fude draws intricately overlapping lines, they take on a graceful beaming black color, their brilliance and blending with his emotions becomes himself. With profound thoughts and deft brushwork, he draws lines that resonate with one another, intertwined within a white space. He has opened up a new world of calligraphy where it is sublimated into three-dimensional art.
The world of black and white which he has created will provide us with fresh inspirations and pleasant experiences.
